In 1988 Hidehiko Yamane, created a cult product. Coming across a 1950s American loom capable of weaving "selvedge" denim, he decided to make exceptional jeans for connoisseurs like himself. So the Evisu adventure began with his famous seagull logo on each article. Meanwhile in the early 90s, the vintage trend took on and his jeans grew in demand. The Osaka trademark has become famous with 400 shops all over the world and more than 50 in Japan.
